THE SEVEN COMINGS OF THE LORD
“Hb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Brothers and Sisters,
We are waiting for the coming of the Lord,
and for physical salvation through the redemption of our spiritual body.
He will soon appear to us that are waiting Him!
The Second Coming was His Resurrection, anyway!
1. The coming of the Son of Man when He was born in Bethlehem.
2. The coming of the Son of Man when He came back through resurrection.
(Before the great Day, there will be the early resurrection from the dead (gk eksanastasis – Php 3:11), the privilege calling (gk ano klesis –Php 3:14), and the departure of the Bride (gk apostasia – IIThs 2:3), which is not a coming, rather an up calling – ano klesis.)
3. In the Day of Christ, when the Lord comes from His nuptials (first part, before the feast) (Lk 12:36), after the Tribulation and before the Great Tribulation, He takes with Himself (gk paralambano) the chosen ones, along to the Heavenly City, those invited to the Marriage Feast (they take part in the resurrection of life, as they render account of talents they negotiated and are approved).
4. Next to that Day, the Lord raises all people of God (resurrection of judgement –Jn 5:29 – possibly some the first minute of the coming era, others any day after that), and manifests to them (foolish virgins); He demonstrates that they were not ready for the resurrection of life because they had not done the will of the Father before the era was over (the last day of the present era is, for individuals, their last day in this life). Some of them will be soon approved, to enter the kingdom of God on earth (Eden) after this next short era is over; some are not yet getting ready, but all of them will go through the great tribulation, with many stripes or few stripes (trials). Takes place the parable of minas.
5. Towards the end of the great tribulation, the Lord will come in order to judge the alive on earth (the judgement of nations – individual people – all people – the earth – are people of God – though rebellious and contradicting – other people: there is no more sea – all died during the great tribulation when the vial of the second angel was poured over the sea). Some are approved (the sheep) and receive the kingdom (Eden); some are reproved (goats) and go through the last trial, eternal (=divine) fire, and then they all are ready for the kingdom of God on earth.
6. By the time the Day of the Lord (millennium) is over, all inhabitants of the earth are ready for the heavenly kingdom, and the Lord comes and takes them up (the great multitude).
7. The day of the last judgement (thousand years duration) the Lord raises up the dead (on different days), gives them a time (probably a hundred years and more – Is 65:20) for living on earth, so that everyone may know the truth, and then He comes to judge them. Those who rebel against the Law (the Eternal Gospel) shall incur in second death. Those who are approved will live forever. “God our Savior will have all men to be saved (through resurrection), and then to come unto the knowledge of the truth (ITm 2:4).”
