"12 or 13 months to the year"


Just thought you'd like to now that the Jewish insertion of Adar II (a thirteenth month) would happen when the priest took the new barley and roasted it at the end of Adar I.  The way I understand it, If nothing but steam was in the hull after the roasting, then Adar II was added.  This would give the barley another month to grow so that when Feast of Firstfruits came there would be grain for the offering.
