Change is a hard thing to do.

The only constant that I know with the Lord is change. No, He does not change. He is changing me all the time. Each day, with God, adds more to my life. As you look backwards over your life you will see many major changes and a whole lot of smaller changes.

Life seems to be all about changes. As you walk onward with the Lord, He will lead you to places of change. You don’t really want to change; but when it is all over you feel great. Changes can be very stressful and painful and take years to accomplish. The older you get, the changing process is very hard on you. You want everything to remain as is; but the Lord is leading/pushing you to another place with Him.

I found the best way is to surrender quickly to God. Often in the midst of a change, I will go to Him and lay myself on the “altar” and give Him permission to get the knife out and do a quick work on me. If something in my life has to go or change; then God do it quickly.
