There was a cat that was walking alone and spotted a mouse. The mouse you see thought he was a dog. He had been told he was a dog and he believed it. He attended a group of other mice who also believed that they were dogs. They sang dog songs and barked the best they knew how.As the cat got closer to the mouse, the cat saw that the mouse was not afraid at all. So he talked to him to see what was up. The mouse told the cat that he was a dog and that he better start running away; in fact the mouse started his “barking” to scare the cat.
In a second, the cat leaped and the mouse was swallowed up and gone. The mouse (now in the cat’s tummy) thought “am I really a dog?” Maybe I made a mistake in my beliefs.
The Great Deceiver is out and about. Look over the Christian Churches and you will see someone is being deceived. Look at all the different brands of churches. In a small village you can find 5 churches, some even sitting next to each other. Each church having the “Real Truth” and knowing that the others are wrong.
A good example of being deceived is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. A large percent of Christians say it was only for the disciples/apostles and another large percent say it is for today. Both groups can not be right. Looking over the Christian Churches you can see many areas where one group or the other is being deceived.
My point is this:
We who are Christians living at the end of time for the Gentiles are the prime lot to be deceived. We must be on the watch and allow the Holy Spirit to let us know if something is wrong or not. Our precious beliefs may be correct and maybe not. We must be ready for what comes next; only we don’t really know what does comes next. So when something happens it is on our knees we go to see what the Real Truth of the matter might be.
I remember a book called “88 reasons for the Rapture in ‘88”. The book was real popular and had a great stir going on, that is until 1989 came. The author gave what He thought was right; the only problem was, he was wrong.
In a few seconds of time, some of our beliefs might be proved wrong. I believe PreTrib; based on the escape of Noah and Lot. I believe that we will be out of here before any judgment or destruction comes. But a few seconds after an atomic bomb attack, my beliefs will change rapidly.
There are some things in the Bible that are quite black and white and yet there are other things that are gray. I don’t want to be like the Jewish people at Jesus’ first coming that missed what was really going on because it didn’t fit their beliefs.
