THE HOUR OF HIS COMING

Re 3:3 -

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

To the church of Sardis, Christ intimates that if they would but be watching, they may know the HOUR of His coming…..

Re 3:10 -

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

But to the church in Philadelphia, He suggests that because they were “patiently” watching, they would be spared from the “hour” of temptation that was about to come on the whole world…..

Therefore, for the watching church in the last days, there should be an hour that we might be watching for…..

We know that Christ will fulfill the fall feast days in His second coming; what we do not know is whether the rapture of the saints will take place on Pentecost, or the Feast of Trumpets.   Which feast actually speaks of an “hour”.   When the church was born, on Pentecost, it is written that the apostles were “drunken” about the third hour…..(9:00 a.m.), in the morning, which is why Peter said, “how could we be drunk?” at this hour?

Acts 2:14-36

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Therefore, could this be the “hour” we should look for?   At Sinai, Moses was to tell the people that they should wash and clean themselves for “two days” and appear in the “morning” of the third day.  This was the first Pentecost for Israel.  (their marriage to Jehovah).   Our marriage to our Lord Jesus, likewise will be consummated on the “third day” in the “third hour”   ?????      We have washed ourselves and made ourselves ready for two days (2000 years), and should appear before Him on the morning of the third day…..(just into the morning of the millennium…..)

I will continue with these thoughts……..
