Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

(This is targeted at the very heart of the kingdom of the antichist, this vial is poured out on his seat, that the dragon had given him.
This judgment is explicitly for the antichristís kingdom, which becomes full of darkness, similar to:)

Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

(The antichristís kingdom is filled with his worshippers, while most of Jesusí own, if not all, will have been killed there, by then.
In Egypt, the darkness was so deep that they could actually feel the darkness.
Is this darkness even much, much deeper, so that when they feel it, it causes them pain, that they gnaw their tongues?
That may be the case, but also, these people might very well, be those who were scorched with fire, and theyíre still in pain.
Now, all these worshippers and subjects of the antichrist, know that it is Jesus that is having his wrath poured out upon them.
So, again, all these people who had taken the mark, and worshipped the antichrist, had grievous, noisome sores come upon them.
Their sores hurt and stink, and then they had to drink blood, then they were scorched with fire, and now in pitch black darkness.
This is the greatest example of hell on earth that there ever was, yet their hearts are hardened, and they refuse to repent.
Instead, while they are gnawing their tongues for pain, stinking terribly, trapped in utter darkness, they blaspheme Jesus.
No doubt, this horrible scene will greatly affect others in the world, who had not taken the mark, and hear and see all this.
This is absolutely the very, very last moments for Gentiles to repent and believe to be saved.
This example of hell, before their eyes, will horrify them, to wake them up to reality.
Time is up, hell is real, Jesus wants to be their Saviour, rather than their Judge.
There may be many still in the world who will repent at this last second, like the thief on the cross, and believe on Jesus.
This horrible scene is also a wakeup call for all Christians during the church age, that we need reach the lost with the gospel.
For two thousand years, Christians have read this, knowing that unless someone is saved, their eternity will be like this.
No Christian would want even their worst enemy to have to face an eternity of darkness, fire, pain, stink, and blasphemy.
This chapter has hopefully provoked many to give the gospel to their family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
Especially, today, when we read this, that there may be many who we know, that may end up worshipping the antichrist.
Not only will they be in darkness, fire, pain, stink, and blasphemy, while they still live, before Jesus returns.
But that their entire eternity will be an even worse continuation of the darkness, fire, pain, stink, and blasphemy.
We so desperately need not to fear rejection or persecution, so that we can get the gospel to them.
Nothing can harm our eternity if we are saved, but their eternity is too horrible to even consider.
What can the world do to us, that is so horrible, to keep us from bringing the message of salvation to them?)

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

(We have nothing to actually fear, but they do, they really have something to fear, rather they have someone to fear.
They need to meet Jesus as their Saviour, and not have to face him as their Judge.
What will we do, will we hold our tongue, or will we tell them the gospel?)
