A Goodrick (28 Feb 2021)

John and Doves,

Have you ever felt humbled by the success of others ?
That's when we need to see God's perspective  upon us, instead of our sometimes
incriminating view of ourselves.
Let's not forget that the accuser of our brethren, Satan, loves to discourage us.That's how he wears us out.
We need the encouragement that this powerful poem brings.

By Grant  Colfax Tullar

When we evaluate ourselves, it's like looking at a piece of tapestry.
On the backside of the weaving, all we see are these mottley looking threads jumbled up in total confusion.

But on the topside of the tapestry is a beautiful breath-taking scene.
We can scarse believe that such a caterpillar could turn into a wondrous butterfly ! Our Weaver God designs us according to His plan.

        The Weaver

"My life us but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors,
He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow,
And I in foolish pride,
Forget He sees the Upper,
And I the Underside.

Not till the loom is silent,
And the shuttle cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas,
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of Gold and Silver
In the pattern He has planned."

"...we look also for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body."
    Philippians 3:20,21

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be.
But we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
   1 John: 3:2
