I agree. Rev 17:18 tells us that MYSTERY BABYLON is a city, not a nation.
Rev 17:5 says, "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
Rev 17:18 says, "And the woman which thou sawest is that great CITY, which reigneth over the kings of the earth."
This city, Vatican City, will be moved to the literal city of Babylon near the Euphrates River. The real Babylon is in the desert.
Rev 17:10,11 says, "And there are seven kings: five are fallen (kings of Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, the Holy Roman Empire), and one is (i.e., the Pope, leader of the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire), and the other (the False Prophet, leader of Babylon III) is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space (i.e., the shortened Great Tribulation). 11 And the beast (Satan) that was (i.e., in Judas Iscariot, the first son of perdition), and is not (in man now), even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition" (the False Prophet, the second son of perdition).
Rev 13:1-10 says, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea (peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues, Rev 17:15), and saw a beast (i.e., the great red dragon) rise up out of the sea (nations), having seven heads (kingdoms: Babel, Babylon II, Media-Persia, Greece, the Holy Roman Empire, the Ecclesiastical Roman Empire and Babylon III) and ten horns (kings), and upon his horns ten crowns (i.e., in the Tribulation), and upon his heads (ALL 7, THE NAME OF BLASPHEMY (blasphemia, vilification, especially against God, i.e., Pontifex Maximus, meaning HIGH PRIEST, SUPREME BRIDGE MAKER, STARTED WITH NIMROD AT THE TOWER OF BABEL). 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a LEOPARD (GREECE, Dan 7:6), and his feet were as the feet of a BEAR (MEDIA-PERSIA, Dan 7:5), and his mouth as the mouth of a LION (BABYLON II, Dan 7:4): and the dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and his seat (thronos, throne), and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death (i.e., the Holy Roman Empire, Rev 17:10); and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon (i.e., Satan) which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."
After the First-Trump Rapture takes place, Rev 6:1,2 says, "And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow (toxon, plain fabric, i.e., he is a man of the cloth, a religious leader); and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."
Mat_7:15 says, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing (i.e., wool), but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
The Pope's badge of office is the woolen pallium he wears over his robe.
Jer_46:10 says, "For this is the DAY OF THE LORD GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance (i.e., Day of God's Wrath), that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country BY THE RIVER EUPHRATES."
Rev 17:3 says, "So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness (eremos, DESERT, i.e., Iraq, where the Euphrates is located): and I saw a woman (i.e., a religious group) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast (Satan), full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns."
The USA would not fit where Vatican City or Babylon city would fit. This is literal Babylon near the Euphrates.
The verse I saw a rectangle of light on in a darkened room at twilight, Jer 50:2, says, "Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces."
Babylon will be destroyed by Satan's home asteroid Wormwood on the Day of the Lord, the Day of God's Wrath, probably MONDAY, the Feast of Trumpets, Sept 14, 2015.
Thomas did not believe Jesus was resurrected until 8 days afterward, on MONDAY. In this, I think he represented the Foolish Virgin saints. They will be caught up in the Last-Trump Rapture on the Day of God's Wrath.
Rev 18:21 says, "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."
Rev 8:10-11 says, "And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
Isa 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here (i.e., Babylon)? and whom hast thou here (i.e., the Satan-possessed False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a ROCK? 17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. 18 He will surely violently TURN AND TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. 19 And I will drive thee from thy station (matstsab, fixed spot, a military post), and from thy state shall he pull thee down."
Gen 3:24 says, "So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims (i.e., planets), and a FLAMING SWORD (i.e., Wormwood, the sword of the LORD) which turned every way (rotated and orbited), to keep the way of (or to) the tree of life" (which is in the third Heaven Paul was caught up to, 1. Mars, 2. Jupiter, and 3. Saturn; II Cor 12:2-4, Eze 1:1,26-28).
Jer_12:12 says, "The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace.
The asteroid Wormwood is a piece of Satan's former planet Rahab (now our Asteroid Belt).
Isa 51:9 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (i.e., Jesus, Isa 53:1); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old (i.e., before Adam). Art thou not it that hath cut (chatsab, split) Rahab, and wounded (chalal, to bore, wound) the dragon?"
It seems reasonable that Satan's planet Rahab was split apart by an asteroid or comet. A piece probably hit Mars. There is a huge black scar on it, and it lost its surface water. A huge piece probably hit Earth and dug out the Moon material forming our Pacific Basin.
Gen 1:9,10 says, "And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto ONE PLACE, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good."
Satan was wounded when Rahab split up. What will happen to him at Armageddon? Rev_20:2 says, "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years".
The Bible reveals quite a bit about the Angelic Conflict. When Satan and his fallen angels are cast out of heaven, the First-Trump Rapture will probably take place. Maybe the saved among mankind will equal the number of angels lost. There was a time when the Israelites were equal to the number of fallen angels.

2Sa_7:23 says, "And what one (echad, united) nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
1Ch_17:21 also says, "And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?"
To me, this united nation is the United States.

Some people apply everything they read in Scripture to the context of their culture and their surroundings. Some Americans see current American events in every prophecy of Scripture. But most people can't find America in prophecy at all, although I do believe there is one passage that DOES refer to the USA and another that COULD. I'll get to that soon. But forst there's a need to re-adjust to the right perspective.
There's a reason people have to ask "Is America in Prophecy?" It is because the USA is hard to find in the pages of Scripture. No one walks away from the pages of Scripture with the impression that the central nation of end time events is an unidentified land far from Israel. The USA is not the primary nation driving end time events. Nor is it the second one. The USA plays such a small part in end time events that most people can't find America in the pages of end times prophecy. Perhaps that tells you something; that America is headed for a big fall!
Most people throughout the ages have agreed that Rome and Israel takes center stage in the end times. Some people debate whether certain passages of Scripture refer to Europe or the Mid-East, but they definitely don't refer to the USA.
No one doubts that America is center stage in today's politics. So in order for America to go from THE world Superpower to a nation not worth prominent mention in prophecy, something really bad may be in store for the USA in the near future. Perhaps it will be nuked into oblivion; the Russians want Alaska back. BHO is said to have given China the right of Eminent Domain to keep them refinancing our debt.
Or we might destroy ourself since the US is on the verge of a potential civil war over gun control with several states (Texas, Tennessee, Idaho, Kentucky, others) that have introduced state measures making it a crime for a Federal agent to enforce whatever gun control laws the Federal Government might eventually pass. So it may well be that he will send troops to collect guns, state police will go to war with them, and who knows what the outcome will be? Or perhaps the globalists get their way and the US merges with Canada and Mexico to form the United States of North America?
Or perhaps an economic collapse of the dollar will cause wealth to shift to Europe or China or elsewhere. I believe that when the "Beast" rises to power, it will demonstrate its power to the world by bringing the USA in subjection to it, and the world will marvel that even the USA had to bow to this great power. that is, if the USA is still around when it happens and isn't destroyed first by nuclear war, economic collapse, or a civil war over the second amendment.
But America is so unimportant in end time events that most people cannot find America in prophecy!!!. It's time we let that sink in instead of trying to fit everything around the USA.
For example, when the Scriptures talk about "Babylon", that is not America. Many people have concluded that because Babylon is the center of Revelation, and America is the most powerful nation, that Babylon must be America. That is simply wrong. Perhaps what we should do is conclude that because Babylon is the center of prophecy, America will eventually fall.
Rev 18:11-13 list as trade items of Babylon things not native to the USA. Ivory and citron wood are not native to the USA. And we constitutionally outlawed slavery, but buying slaves from Babylon is listed in Rev 18:13. If Rev 18:13 tells us that the Babylon of Revelation sells slaves, and selling slaves is outlawed by the USA Constitution, then it is obvious that the description of present day America does not fit "Babylon". The USA would have to undergo a HUGE metamorphasis in order to fit the description of Rev 18. Our culture just wouldn't allow it today.
And if the USA would have to undergo a HUGE metamorphasis to fit that description, why couldn't another part of the world undergo a metamorphasis to fit that description? The real Babylon is in Iraq, and Sharia law would permit selling slaves It's easier for an economic shift to happen from America to another major country than for Americans to accept slavery in our modern era. If you think "Babylon" might be something other than physical Babylon, why not look towards countries that do permit slavery, and conclude that an economic shift will happen towards one of those places?
But the idea that America is Babylon is popular with many Americans simply because they can't find America in Prophecy and are too American centric in their thinking to accept the idea that America will be a bit player in end time events. Most Americans speak no languages other than their own native English. They pay little attention to foreign news and seem to think that if it does not happen in the USA, it did not happen or is not worth worrying about. The American baseball championship is called the “World Series.” Attitudes are so internally focused that it is hard for most Americans to accept the idea that the USA is only a minor player in end time events; or possibly no longer a nation when it happens, but perhaps we need to wake up and realize that such a conclusion is exactly the one that makes the most sense due to the relative absence of much mention of the USA in prophecy.
