"For Jennie - Who goes in the Rapture?"

Hi Jennie.  I just wanted to share a few other scriptures and thoughts with you.  We can have peace knowing we are His and knowing we will be going home with Him when we comes for His own.

Please know that I share all of this with you, and anyone else who may be wondering and doubting, in complete love as my sisters and brothers.  I once felt that there was more I needed to do to be ready, so I only have compassion for anyone who still may not be sure if they are worthy.  I just want to share what the Lord has taught me on this very subject.

You somewhat implied that we don't have a guarantee that we will go with our Savior when He comes to get His own -- those He has bought with His very own blood.  We actually do have a guarantee, and He used His servant Paul to tell us this in His word.  We are guaranteed to be His; in fact, we are sealed!  And, if we are sealed as His, we are guaranteed that He will never leave behind His own.  Here are just two scriptures to support this, but there are actually many more:

Ephesians 1:13-14
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom, also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Deuteronomy 31:6 & 8 and Hebrews 13:5
... I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Now, when we look closely at the scripture that you shared about praying to be accounted worthy that we may escape, we will find that the older manuscripts actually state that we should pray that we have the strength to escape all that is coming upon the earth.  This is somewhat the same as the Word stating that we should pray that our journey is not on the Sabbath or in winter.  I also believe that these particular scriptures in their context were being spoken to the Jews.  Obviously we need to pray for everything that we can -- as He leads, but just because we are directed to pray does not mean that we can assume that overall our own works can make us more worthy to go in the rapture.  Is His blood not enough?  Is His Spirit in us not enough?  The Word says that the rapture is a mystery, and yes it is also a wonderful gift, but I don't believe it is a reward only for those "doing" certain things.  For example, we know that the Word is very clear that a reward for watching is a crown, and of course, there are many other crowns given as rewards.  Our being redeemed by the blood of Jesus is enough to call us His, and again, if we are His, He won't ever leave us or forsake us!!

Our Bibles tell us that the Holy Spirit is faithful to work in those who belong to Jesus to prepare us and get us ready.  The Word says that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and that He will complete His perfect work in us until the day of our redemption.  If we are His, He will be faithful to get us ready.  He is responsible for us as He has stated multiple times throughout His word.  The Father gave us to Jesus, and He has promised to take care of us and get us ready to present back to the Father!

Too many of us today think we have to work and do certain things to get ready, and I used be one of those.  We simply need to just trust Him and obey Him while HE works to get us ready.  Just as He said....  "When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on the earth?"  Our working to get ready is ultimately faith in ourselves.  Trusting Him and doing as He compels is working in His strength, His wisdom, and His energy -- and that is faith in Him!  Faith is the key to everything.  When we are saved by grace through faith in Him, then we are truly His, and no one can snatch us out of His hand, and nothing can separate us from Him.  He is true to His word; all we have to do is believe!!

All in all, we really can have assurance and peace about this issue and about everything else He promises.  We don't have to work in our own wisdom and strength to get ready; we can work as He compels, and in the meantime, rest in Him KNOWING He will not leave us behind and KNOWING we are going when our Savior comes.  I wouldn't trade this assurance for anything!!  Now THAT is a priceless reward for trusting Him that we can have right now!

Much love, peace, joy, and hope to all my brothers and sisters!!
