"Waiting and Watching"

Dear Friends,

I feel moved today to write a few lines of encouragement to those, like Mrs. Reese, Mathman, Almond, Agee, Matson and others, who are working hard at being diligent watchmen and dedicated to helping many of us benefit from the insights that they provide to readers of this site. We are all edified, encouraged and comforted in knowing that we wait and watch with others, not alone.

In a larger context, we are given indications in the Word of God that we are not going through our life alone when we call on God to help us. He can give us the power and clarity of mind that we need to escape the wrath of our enemies.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim. 1:7

"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Certainly, with the great delusional peril associated with identifying days of rapture possibility, as evidenced by the published works of sincere, but mistaken, date-setters in recent years, it is especially important that we all keep a sound mind and the protection that God provides to those who trust in Him.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." Isa. 26:3-4

May God bless and keep us all until it is time to ascend to meet our Saviour in the clouds!

With love,

Robert
