"RESPONSE TO NICOLES POSTS FEB, 18TH"

Nicole,

WOW, I guess you really put me in my place, eh ???  What a sweet, full of the love of CHRIST post that was.  Mmmm , must have struck a nerve to get you that riled up.

Ok.  First, I have been reading the 5 Doves daily since 2008--maybe longer than you, I do not know.  (BTW---thank you JESUS for this site--I have learned SO MUCH from you all)  I do not post very often, and John does not always post everything I submit.  You just ASSUMED that I just jumped in.  Also, I believe that if my post was as horrible as you make it out to be, John would not have posted it--PERIOD.  Maybe he posted it because--as with several other posts--it was in resonse to you and Jennies' posts re: who will go in the rapture, and who will not.  I truly believe some of those responses were really beautiful (much better than mine), and spoke to this issue--who will go, and who will not.  See the posts dated 17 Feb--from Joan, Linda spencer, Mike W (He even asks you directly if you think the death of Jesus on the cross was enough--yet no condemnation for him) and Greg Lamb.  Also, there are 2 incredibly beautiful posts dated Feb. 16th from Stacy Raborn and Susan.

2nd.  Seems to me, and I could be wrong, that you say because you have been through all these things and have had these visions, etc. that somehow it makes what you say--your opinion--more important, more valid.  However, haven't others suffered ??  My older brother started raping me when I was 7.  Is your suffering greater than mine ????  Also, and this REALLY puzzles me, you stated you WERE the prodigal son, and yet your statement     "I do not believe that I should get a free ride from death because I said a sinners prayer.  I am tired of people saying that you can be a dead beat Christian, lukewarm and get a free ride."  seems to VERY HARSHLY CONDEMN those who may be Prodigal Sons NOW"  Not a lot of loving compassion there.  But the "FATHER" in the parable is NOT CONDEMNING, BUT SEEMS TO BE WAITING WITH EAGER, TREMENDOUS LOVE.  I have always thought--and I could be wrong, that the parable is really more about the FATHER, and his UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for HIS prodigal son.

3rd.  How am I derailing your testimony because I happen to disagree with what your opinion is about who goes, and who does not ????  JESUS tells us to rightly divide the WORD, and there are myriad of scriptures that CLEARLY tell of our ETERNAL SECURITY IN CHRIST BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE DID. IT IS FINISHED, IT IS FINISHED, IT IS FINISHED----PERIOD.  When one starts to opine about the things WE need to do in order to "make the rapture", then I think that is a VERY SLIPPERY SLOPE.  (Again, I refer you to the posts by Stacy Raborn and Susan dated Feb. 16th.)

WE ARE ALL ON DIFFERENT LEVELS IN OUR SPIRITUAL WALK WITH THE LORD.  HE IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH.  ALL OF US ARE BROKEN AND SINFUL.  ALL OF US FAIL EVERYDAY TO FULLY WALK THE WALK.  EVEN YOU NICOLE.  PLEASE TRY TO HAVE MORE COMPASION WITH THOSE WHO MAY NOT BE AS FAR ALONG IN THEIR WALK WITH JESUS AS YOU ARE.
