"Why should you pray for your loved ones at this late date?--repost"

Hello, John and Doves,

Why should you pray for your loved ones at this late date?

"I will answer them before they even call to me.

While they are still talking about their needs,

I will go ahead and answer their prayers!"  Isaiah 65:24 New Living Translation, Tyndale House, publisher [NLT]

"Yet you don't have what you want, because you don't ask God for it."  James 4:2 NLT

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

"And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."                                                                                 1 John 5:14-15 NLT

How should you pray for your loved ones at this late date?

"Without faith it is impossible to please God."  Hebrews 11:6

"So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."  Romans 10:17

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."  James 5:16

Some scriptures to meditate on, concerning our loved ones:

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

 2 Corinthians 6:2

“Seek the LORD while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the LORD,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”

Isaiah 55:6,7

“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” Hebrews 4:7

Should you claim scriptures on behalf of your loved ones?  You tell me.

It is written,

"I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live."  Ezekiel 33:11

"The heart of the king is in hand of the LORD; like rivers of water, He guides it wherever He pleases."                              Proverbs 21:1

"The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.

"It is the same with my word.  I send it out, and it always produces fruit.  It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." Isaiah 55:10-11

Be sure of the LORD's promises.  The LORD maintains His Holy Word

in a position above His Holy Name:

"...[Y]our promises are backed by all the honor of your name."  Psalm 138:2  NLT

Moreover, Jesus's name is above every other name, because Our Savior's name, "Jesus," means "YHWH is deliverance."

"Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father."  Philippians 2:10-11

Finally, we read:

" 'Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together:  Who hath declared this from ancient time?  Who hath told it from that time?  Have not I the LORD?  And there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside Me.

'Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else,' " Isaiah 45:21-22.
