"Happy Valentines's Day!!!!"

Hello, John and Doves,
Happy Valentines's Day!!!!

Here are some of my favorite verses (when the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad…)

[from “My Favorite Things,” music by Richard Rogers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II]

"My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:19

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."  Isaiah 26:3

Even when you think you are suffering as Christ must have suffered on the Cross, there is hope.

1     “For the director of music. To [the tune of] "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?

2     “O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent.

3     “Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel. [fn]

4     “In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.

5     “They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

Psalm 22:1-5

3    "If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4    "Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5    "And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6    "And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make [you] afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

7    "And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8    "And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9    "For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10    "And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

[This is a promise that God will help you keep the Sabbath laws as they apply to you.]

11    "And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

12    "And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

13    "I [am] the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright."

Leviticus 26:3-13  KJV

"Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else; [I am] God, and [there is] none like me,

"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

"Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken [it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed [it], I will also do it."

Isaiah 46:9-11  KJV

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17
