""How long is the arm of God?",  Or "How to be ready""

Hello, John and Doves,

"Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear."

Isaiah 59:1

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

Hebrews 7:25

"I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live."

Ezekiel 33:11

"Don't just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good."

Romans 12:9

"He has shown you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you:  but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

Micah 6:8

“…distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.  Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.”

Romans 12:13

"Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' [Deuteronomy 32:35] says the Lord.

      "On the contrary: 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.' [Proverbs 25:21] In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.

    "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Romans 12:19-21

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad."

Our Savior will judge the works of the saints by fire.  If anything lasts, we will have a reward.  If it all goes up in smoke, then that person is still saved, but so as through fire.  [1 Corinthians 3:13-15]  Our salvation is dependent wholly on the grace offered to us by way of the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment to the Holy God for our sins.  So then, here is how to be saved.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

"Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Titus 3:5-7
