The division in Islam is really coming into focus. Iran which is Shiite is lining up with Syria which is led by a quasi Shiite group. The Sunnis are lining up behind the Islamists which are trying to overthrow Assad. This is a classic power play for the control of Islam. I do think that Assad is going to be removed and Syria will become part of the Sunni caliphate. It appears from Psalm 83 that Syria is part of this confederation. In the end, it really does not mater because Syria is part of the all-out war against Israel and is destroyed. Damascus days as a city are numbered and it will never again be a city. This city has been the epicenter of terrorism against Israel, and the God of Israel is going to obliterate it off the earth
