You misunderstood my point completely. Matt 24 is
absolutely referring to the rapture of the Church. The point I
am making is that Matthew 24 is telling us that the rapture
occurs a few days after the
great tribulation begins because it is "shortened"
in duration and "cut short" by the rapture of
"the elect" who are the Church.
"For then there will be great
tribulation... If those days had not been cut
short, no one would survive. but for the sake of the
elect those days will be shortened."
The tribulation continues on for the unbelieving who
are left-behind after the early tribulation rapture, but
for the Church (the elect) the number of the days of
great tribulation are shortened in number
and cut short by the rapture a few days after the
great tribulation begins.
the tribulation of those
(shortened in number) days........."
(the rapture happens)
