Matthew 24:11
"Many false prophets will appear and deceive many."
 
Jesus said that at the 'end of the age'  "MANY false prophets will appear and deceive MANY". I believe that is exactly the case today. There are MANY false prophets on T.V., the internet, the pulpit and publishing books deceiving MANY with unsound doctrine. The mega-churches come to mind. The ONLY way to protect yourself from them is to READ AND STUDY THE SCRIPTURES FOR YOURSELF.
 
The Scriptures will not deceive you. You will learn the Truth in the Scriptures by studying them with YOUR OWN EYES. If you accept as Gospel everything of what you hear from others and read what others write you are in great danger of being deceived with false doctrine. DO YOUR OWN DUE 'SCRIPTURAL' DILIGENCE AND DO NOT BE DECEIVED. One does not have to 'run with the pack'.
 
Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
