Dear Melissa, and Doves
In 1 Peter 1:16, the Lord says “be holy, for I am Holy”. I know you were concerned that even though we should aim for holiness, as it says in the bible, we would not be able to achieve it “until we are in our new bodies after the rapture”. However the Lord WILL make us holy, if we truly aspire to it – see 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 where Paul says:
1Th 5:23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:24  Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Jesus imputed His righteousness to us because of His death and resurrection. In the same way as we cannot ACTUALLY be perfect (left to our own devices!) like the Lord, as it says we are to be in various places in the New Testament, the desire to be like Jesus, to love Him and believe in all He said and did, and to make every effort to behave like we know we should, is what He wants us to do.
I’m no good with words, but I pray that you can hear that “still small voice” because we are SO close to going Home!!!
Love in Jesus’ name
