Years ago, after the little booklet "88 Reasons Why the Rapture will be in l988" by Edgar Whisenant, I was on fire to find out when the rapture would be.  In the course of study after study and watching current events, I became aware of an unusual occurrence in 1993.

The Berlin wall had come down bring down with it the Iron Curtain of the Soviet Union in 1989 thus 4 years later this happened.  In an article published by the Gideon International, a Bible distribution ministry as you know, in the June 1993 issue, they said that after a concentrated effort between them and the American Bible Society, they had managed to saturate 153 nations with Bibles or parts of Bibles.  The 153rd nation was Estonia, just out from behind the Iron Curtain.

Greater strides have been made since then, of course, and other nations have now been added to the group.
