"Pineman regarding holidays"
Pineman,
I'm not sure where you were going with your question of Fay, but I do
not celebrate any of the traditions of men any longer. I used to,
but my Heavenly Father opened my eyes and made it clear through
scripture that participating in these worldly celebrations was an
abomination to Him. You can't imagine how hard it has been to
retrain my thinking and that of my children, but we are honoring our
Lord, and that is what is most important. I find myself slipping
up sometimes. My little boy bought a stuffed animal for his
"girlfriend' for Valentine's Day, and it took me about a week to
realize what we had done. I now asked him to give it to her on a
different day - perhaps with a note conveying how Valentine's Day is
not in the Bible, so we do not want to give honor to a pagan
holiday. I have read comments regarding my decision on five
doves, and some people find this a bit extreme. But I will not be
lukewarm if I can help it.
Hot in His name,
Corey Anne
