Revelation 13:17 and that no man might buy or sell save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the NUMBER OF HIS NAME.  17:18 Here is WISDOM. let HIM that hath UNDERSTANDING count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a MAN and HIS number is 666.

First of all the number of the name of the beast can be counted by one with wisdom and understanding and the man that can do this, HIS number is 666. Notice the " : " after beast, John was saying that the man who could count the number of the beast was the man who's number was 666.  From above we also know that this number will be a number of his name, but what number? In 1 Kings 10:14 "Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold."  in 1 Kings 10:13 it states and king solomon gave the queen of sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which solomon gave her of his royal bounty.  Solomon in 2 chapters before this receives 3 payments of talents of gold.  They are 120 talents, 420 talents and 120 talents.  These only add upto 660 talents and from the previous verse we see that he gave some to queen sheba and it also states that he recieved 666 total talents, so he must have given her 6 talents of gold.  So how could Solomon count the future beast's number? Because he recieved amounts of gold in the amount of the beast number of his name.  In kings is says that solomon had wisdom and understanding above any before him and after him, forever. So the reason why john said let him of understanding in wisdom was a clue to point to solomon and that is why he says his number is 666, because the man whos number was 666 will be able to count the number of the beast. Solomon recieved gold in bounties and the mark will be to buy or sell... Starting to see correlations?  Solomon had wisdom and understanding and received 666 talents of gold, and nowhere else in the bible is 666 mentioned.  This is not a coincidence. 3 payments, 120, 420, 120.  This is why solomon would be able to count the beast's number of his name. I would imagine it will be 3 names or title plus name and in either hebrew or greek gematria the names will be 120 420 and 120.  God is good, this is not an accident.  John would have been familiar with Solomon.  The simple fact that wisdom and understanding and 666 are mentioned points directly at Solomon.  So start getting out your calculators because a man this year will start to arise on the world scene with either title and name or just name and his name will consist of 3 parts and each parts seperately will add up to 120, 420 , and 120 and in total will add up to 660, either in Hebrew or Greek gematria. So to restate what I think John meant was this " Here is wisdom, the one with understanding can count the number of the beast name, The beast number is also the number of a man and that mans number is 666.  He never said that the beast number was 666. Its like a parable.
