"Re: The Hidden Ones of Psalm 83"
I have another thought
on who the "hidden ones" are in Psalm 83. I believe "thy people" are
Israel, but the "hidden ones" are not Israel. Israel will not be
fighting and winning a war against their neighbors when they are fleeing
to the wilderness. Yes they will be hidden from the antichrist, but
that has nothing to do with the "crafty counsel" of Israel enemies who
neighbor her. In fact, the antichrist conquers the whole region,
including Israel's neighbors when the remnant goes in hiding.
I believe the "hidden
ones" are the church in Heaven. In other words, I believe the rapture
is before that war. The following Scripture support the Church being
the "hidden ones" as they describe God's people being being "hidden"
during the indignation:
Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
Isaiah 26:20-21 Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.
For behold, the LORD comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain.
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the LORD’s anger.
And there are some prophetic patterns that suggest the same that you can read here:
