"Teach me to number my days Lord!!!"

Isn’t this what we are asking the Lord to do?  Have you ever felt like you were losing hope that the Rapture would ever come?  When we are looking for the Rapture we, like David are asking God to “number our days…”

I happened upon something that I find very interesting that depending on how many days you’ve lived on this earth may have a different meaning for you.

As you may know I was eagerly anticipating the February 1st Super Bowl. This was the 43rd Super Bowl.  Something is still very intriguing about that number since we just elected the 43rd President and Israel will be doing the same this next week.

43 does have great meaning in gematria:  43 + Great, Majesty + His Greatness + Exceeding Joy + The Lord is Good + In Yah Yahovah

In the same “spirit” of David in praying to God to teach me to number my days I happened to run a day count on my life (don’t worry this will have application to your life as well!!!)

I was born on May 5th 1969 and to February 1st 2009 = 14,517 days

I used the biblewheel calculator function “verse order number” to see what bible verse would come up at 14,517.  I was amazed!!! It happened to be:

Psa 39:4 LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

The other thing that is interesting to me is that I happen to be 39 years old.  I also am quite a big fan of David.

You also may know how much I’ve written on the number 13 and its deep spiritual meaning (rebellion & redemption – the Prodigal).  The 39th Psalm has 13 verses and is a desperate plea from David to Jehovah to “save him!”

I couldn’t help but look ahead a little bit… (at the bottom, I’ve included the links I use to do this so you can check out your own “days on earth to verse” – if nothing else it will be a great way to have a personal daily devotional.  It works past 85 years old for the whole Bible.)

On February 11th & 12th it moves into the 40th Psalm with the first two verses:

February 11th

Psa 40:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

February 12th

Psa 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

Of course if you’ve read many of my writings you would know that I equate this mention of “setting my feet upon a rock” to the moon.  Clearly the first two verses of the 40th Psalm are an answer to David’s plea for help.

Again, this is all in an effort, like David, crying out to God asking Him to help us number our days.  In this way we can be faithful to him with our purpose that He most certainly had “knit us in the womb” for!!!  Hallelujah!!!

Here is the two calculators you’ll need:

http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html        step 1.  Use the calc to see how many days you’ve lived on the planet earth.

And

http://www.biblewheel.com/Gr/Gr_Database.asp         step 2.  Plug this number into the verse order cell.  This will give you a verse from the Bible.

Teach us to Number our Days Lord!!!

Tony

P.S. – Obviously you’ll come up with something completely different that I did – feel free to share!
