"Last Days"

The first warning Jesus proclaimed about the last days to the
disciples: "Be not deceived"  This warning was so important he
repeated  it six times:
MT 24:, 4, 5, 11, 23, 24, 26.

In the book of Revelation Jesus spoke of spiritual things to the
Church.  The spiritual things John had written to the Church would be
"discerned" by the true
Church, the body of Christ. The parable of the ten virgins is an
example of the last days' church. The worldly church (carnal and the
5 virgins without oil) could not discern spiritual things...only the
wise virgins, those who walked in the Spirit could discern and expect
and be prepared for the bridegroom.  MT 25:1-13

John writes of the first signs revealed to the Church in the last
days.  Rev. 6: 1-8.  The four horsemen are the four evil spirits that
go forth with destruction
over the earth.  The first horseman is riding a white horse carrying
a sword.  This is the spirit of deception...false peace, false hope,
the deceiver. He goes about stealing the truth from men's hearts.

Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing  spirits, and
doctrines of devils; speaking
lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seered with a hot iron.  I
Tim 4:1,2

For such are the false apostles, deceitful workers transforming
themselves into apostles of  Christ. And no marvel; for satan himself
is transformed  into an angel
of light.  II Cor. 11:13.14.

This test of deception to the heart of the church will manifest the
'true Church'  before the day of Christ. Paul wrote that there must
be a falling away from the
gospel of grace before the day of Christ.  II  Thess. 2:3.  Jesus
tried the hearts of many disciples (in the book of John) that
followed Him. The many who left from
following Him believed in the miracles, and not in Him....the Christ,
the Son of God, John 6:50-68.

Today many churches believe there is a heaven and everlasting life,
but they don't believe in Jesus Christ.  If they did, they would be
able to discern the truth
from a lie. Eternal life is knowing the only true God and Jesus
Christ whom He sent...Christ Jesus is the ONLY way to eternal life.
John 14:6, 16, 17.

Guard your heart, and fall not away from following the faith of the
gospel of grace in Christ Jesus , our Lord. Col. 1:19-23.
