"Response To Frank Molver:OT Saints In Heaven"

Hey Frank

In response to your post: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/feb2009/frankm227-1.htm
Of course there will be many Old Testament in Heaven--in fact, they are already there, and have been for quite a while.
Enoch was translated there.
Elijah was translated there.
Moses is there because he is seen being alive with Elijah at the Transfiguration.
In Hebrews, chapter 11, also known as the "Hall of Faith" chapter, many of the Old Testament saints and their exploits are mentioned, which includes Rehab, the Gentile woman.
They are all in Heaven.
How did they get there?
Matthew 27:52-53 answers that question.

52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

So where did they go? Back to the grave?

I DON'T THINK SO!

They all had to have continued on and also were translated to Heaven--including John Baptist and Lazarus.....the whole bunch, and possibly even the Roman Centurion, whose faith the Lord Jesus had spoken of as being the greatest faith that he had came across; even greater that John Baptist's own faith apparently..

I have also heard that the same above scene of dead Saints being seen was was also recorded to have happened at Rome at the same time as the Gospel record at Jerusalem.

There is no telling how many Old Testament Saints are in Heaven.

I would say many hundreds at a minimum.

More likely many thousands, but probably many more than most people thinks.

That what I think..
