"re:family relations and how to cope"
Steve, I can empathize with how you are feeling. My
family and close christian friends just 'don't get it' and they are
choosing not to see it. I don't know and can't understand how anyone
could want the rapture to be delayed, even if your life is great on
this earth. Right now I am starting a new Job and it is taking so much
energy and time away from the things that are really important that it
is hard to stay focused. However God blessed me with a co-worker who
loves God and i hope that we can set an example for others in our
workplace. i guess this is how we were supposed to be living our lives
all alone..... storing up treasures in heaven and not here on earth.
Somehow only recently have I really SEEN the truth about the times we
are living in. I am amazed and blessed by the faithfulness of the doves
on this site. Some have been focused on the rapture for decades. I am
blessed to see their faithfulness and wonder if the Lord was to tarry
another 10 years if I could stay focused for so long....I hope so. As
for our families, all we can do is pray that their eyes and hearts be
open. it is up to them and by the grace of God that they will be able
to "see" that his coming is imminent. I had a dream, not too long ago
and God told me loud and clear "prepare your house, I am coming". I
think it is my responsibility to show my family by example what it
means to watch and wait for Jesus return. Through prayer I have seen
God change the hearts of one person in particular in my family and I
know that it is possible for him to open the eyes of others. Stay
faithful, run the race, keep looking up and honor God with all you do.
In christ,
Christy
