"Reasons Why I'm Joining Rene in WATCHING March 21, 2008 (3/21) for the Rapture"

I was putting up a calendar in my office today (2/28) when I noticed March 21st, 2008, Good Friday.  I then recalled reading about this date associated with the Rapture on Five Doves.  Then a flood of reasons came to me as why.  After examining all the evidence, this has got to be the best rapture WATCH date I've seen posted on Five Doves this year.  I then went back and re-read Rene's post about this date.

And realized the reasons for her watching were good, but different, and more personal to her.  Which is also why I had not connected and seriously considered watching that date.  But now I'm joining Rene in whole heartedly watching 3/21/08.

Also, wanted to note Isaac Jordan pointing out to take heed that William Miller had come up with March 21st, but in 1844 as the date of the Rapture.

These following reasons are offered for your prayerful consideration, as reasons to watch:

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;  Luke 21:25

1.  Sign in the Sun - Start of Spring - Spring officially started March 20th, 5:48 AM, UT, the timing of the Spring Equinox when the Sun's rays hit the equator, or more precisely when the tilt of the earth's orbit is neither towards or away from the sun.  From then on till around the Fall equinox, the sun's rays will spend more time illuminating the northern hemisphere.

2.  Sign in the Moon - Full Moon - The Moon is officially full on March 21st, 6:40 PM, UT.  Also note the sea and the waves roaring in the Bible verse which the normal waves are caused by the moon and they increase at times of full moons.  Also note that the full moon when it first rises above the horizon can appear red because of the increase in the amount of atmosphere through which the light travels before reaching our eyes.  There is also a book written about the rapture and "red moon rapture" I found by googling the Internet for "red moon rising" after I had personally viewed a red moon rising on 2/24, not quite a full moon.

3.  Sign in the Stars - Leo - The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.  Genesis 49:10  The moon will be in the constellation Leo, (Messiah crushing the enemy), and cover up the star Regulus, the King Star, the only king star in the heavens, the brightest star in the constellation Leo, on March 19th, 2008.

4.  Signs in the Sun, Moon  & Stars - Roughly a 30 day warning was given by multiple signs on the same day, February 21st.  These included the only total lunar eclipse of the year at 3:26 UT, a blood moon during the eclipse, the full moon maximum at 18:40 UT, and the disappearing and reappearing of Regulus, the brightest star in Leo, covered up by the moon, at around 22:00 UT.

5.  Early Spring Wedding - Groom Anxious to Steal away the Bride - The season of Spring is associated with Brides and Weddings, and the Song of Solomon.  Therefore, many look toward Spring.  If you were the Groom who's Father had told Him He would have to wait till the Spring of a future year, wouldn't you come as soon as it turned Spring?

6.  70 AD to 2008 AD - This reason can be used for a Rapture anytime in 2008.

Methuselah, who's name is a prophecy meaning "When he is dead it shall be sent":

http://www.christconnections.com/methuselah.asp

God was long suffering, not wanting any to perish so let Methuselah live longer than any other man.  And then came the destruction of the earth by water.  Consider now the destruction of Jerusalem by fire in 70 AD, whose destruction was fortold by Jesus.  Consider God being by nature long suffering, but now giving man twice as long.  Adding to 70 AD, Methuselah's age at death of 969 times 2, (1938), one comes to 2008.

7.  Good Friday - Good Friday is 3/21/08.  It is realized that Friday is not the day Jesus Christ died and the day he died was not Good.  Still the historical church has recognized this day in remembrance of Christ being crucified.  (This is similar to celebrating Christmas as when Christ was born.)  However, all things are all ordained by God.  Consider this as looking towards a future true "Good Friday" when we will be Raptured.  Consider also that Friday is the 6th day of the week, we are now at the end of the 6th thousanth year, and the soon to be revealed beast's number is 666.  Good Friday is also the day which would represent Passover on the Hebrew Calendar which has many Rapture, escaping the Death Angel, connotations.

8.  Crowning of Princes / Kings - The traditional coronation of Princes / Kings was on the Spring Equinox.  For a Prince, consider also the taking of a bride just before coronation and taking over of one's kingdom.

9.  Purim - March 21, 2008 is Adar II 14, 5768, Purim on the current Hebrew Calendar.  The previous day to Purim is the fast of Esther.  This date is celebrated for it is then when the Jews escaped their upcoming death at the hands of their enemies.  At the Rapture, watching Christians escape their upcoming death that could occur during the Tribulation at the hands of their enemies.

10.  Passover - Passover is at the full moon in the first month of the Hebrew calendar, called Nisan.  The current Hebrew calendar which is mathematically determined, slips against the solar calendar because of a slight difference.  This slight difference has accumulated to around 8 days in the last 2000 years.  This difference though is still considerably greater than the Gregorian calendar which has an average 365.2425 days per year to approximate the actual 365.242199 days per solar year, which has accumulated to less than a day difference in the last 2000 years.  The bottom line is that using the mathematically determined calendar, today, March 21st will never fall on Nisan 14.  An extra month will be added instead, as it is this year, so it falls instead fall on Adar II (Veador) 14.  However, 2000 years ago, March 21st on the Gregorian calendar could never fall on Adar II (Veador) 14, but instead would fall on Nisan 14.  This can be readily verified by plugging in March 21st for the Gregorian date in an online calendar such as:

http://www.calendarhome.com/converter/

Then tab back and forth through the past 100 years and see if any fall on Nisan 14.  None will.  However one will find some falling in the added month of Veador, the 14th day, such as this year, 2008.  Now go to 0 AD and repeat the same procedure and one will find March 21st not in the month of Veador, the 14th day, but Nisan, such as in 53 AD.

There are many reasons to watch Passover because of many Rapture analogies.  For example, the first-born are said to be dedicated to God and the first-born were taken by the Angel of God.  The actual "pass-over" was at mid-night, the darkest part of the night, slightly different from our standardized "midnight", and the Rapture parable of the 10 virgins has to do with being awakened at mid-night.  Just for calculation purposes, mid-night in Jerusalem on March 21, 2008 would be half way between sunset at 5:52 PM and sunrise on March 22nd at 5:40 AM.  That would place mid-night on March 21st, at 11:46 PM.  For more on watching a passover before June, one can read Steve Berryman's articles the last few days on Five Dvoes.  Which I don't think anything in watching March 21, 2008 negates the reasons he brings up to watch passover(s).

11.  Sky Blue 21 -   Many of us on Five Doves continually look at the 21st of a month as possible Rapture watch dates because of Valerie's "Sky Blue 21" posts of years gone past.

12.  321 + 234 = 555 - 3/21, the Date, plus $2.34, the amount of money left by the Angel to Vincent Tan, brings us to 555, the Rapture Number, (55=the gematria of "Bride"), which for one, because the Rapture preceeds the coming of the antichrist, who's number is 666.

Well, that might not be 88 reasons, but it's definately enough, especially added to Rene's reasons,  I think for us to watch 3/21/08.

Shalom,
Ted Porter
