JIm - When you mentioned "Mike Bickle" that brought up
goose-bumps and then teary eyes. I was playing high school football
many years ago when we got word that Mike Bickle's brother, Pat, had broken
his neck in a football game and was paralyzed from the neck down.
I remember our whole football team holding him up in prayer the whole rest
of the season. It wasn't like the coaches were being religious by
continuing to have prayers for him and his family, or having us pray silently
for him. It was just normal and even expected in showing compassion
for others and their families in their time of grief. And of course
it hit home that it could have easily been one of us that had been paralyzed.
I found the following which tells a more complete story of Pat Bickle and
family.
