"REF. :  LESTER    ... answer to '' Jesus' genealogy ''"

LESTER :
Thank you for the answer. But , I'm a man who wants the truth and you got me going on a second search of Mathew. I  have drawn three columns of  14 generations from Abraham  to Christ..  Indeed , from  MT 1 : 11   the  14 th  generation ends with  Jeconiah. After the Babylon captivity , you should not start again counting the generation with  Jeconiah    ( again ). no  !
He is already counted in (  V. 11 ) as the   14  from David to him.
From Abraham to David  ..... 14 Generations. ( v. 6 )
From David to Babylon captivity , you don't start with David  because he is already counted.
You start with  Salomon and to  Jeconiah =  again   14  generations. ( 11 )
V. 12  you don't start again with Joconiah ( he is already counted )  ... No... One has to start with  Shealtiel  and go toward Joseph.
Then , one can find that Joseph is the   12  th    generation from the Babylon captivity.
Then he had a child ( MARY ) = 13 th  generation   and then   Jesus =  14 th  .
As it says in  V. 17 .  Again , I have to stand with my notes that I sent  a few days back.
Luke starts with V. 1 - 4   saying that his studies were precise according to the things from the very first  and also to be exact.

It's not a matter of arguing but I like the records to be straight.
We have only the Bible , words of GOD to base our studies of HIM , the Almighty.
If the Bible says   14 generations , one has to prove to himself  by counting the exact account. My Bible comes with  Joseph son of Jacob to be the   12 th.
So Mary had to be her daughter ( 13 ) and then Jesus (  14 ).
So , now compare with the other Joseph in Luke and  Jesus had two different
Grand-Fathers.  One was Jacob on his Mother's side ( Mt 1 : 16 )  and the other was Heli on his father side Luke 3 : 23 . It comes to say that both descendants are from David.
Have a close look . Thank you again . Have a  nice Sabbath day. ( Shabath Shalom )
A brother in Christ.... R 1000
