I love that wonderful song, We Gather Together.  I think it was
originally Quaker but I"m not sure.

When my dad was dying of leukemia, having not been a declared Christian
since childhood, he broke into song, his old song being "Gather by the
River."  He had been raised Baptist, with some inroads into
Presbyterian.  And so the hymn came back to him just before he passed
away.  I had not learned this song, as I had not been raised Christian,
or I would have loved to sing too.

After that I became a Christian, after he died, and I love to remember
that he died singing this song, so that there is a hope for him.
