"To Donna Cothran on our crowns"

I love that description of the rapture and of the "crowns" we have in
Heaven.

Ordinarily, wearing a crown would seem uncomfortable to me.  Crowns are
heavy and really just ceremonial, even for royalty.  I remember wearing
an Egyptian crown when I portrayed the attendant to the Queen in Aida,
when we opened our opera house in Seattle.  I had to not only wear that
crown, but put the royal crown on the head of the Queen while a
turntable was turning underneath us.  In those days I had incredible
balance, and I was able to do this, and the singer portraying the Queen
was astonished that it went so smoothly.  Needless to say, our director
was nuts.

But once I had a "vision" where I saw myself in heaven wearing a crown
made of Tanzanite.  It was actually not a heavy full scale crown but a
sort of tiara, yet had a lot of stones.  Tanzanite is an amazing stone
which looks dark blue on the surface, but has red flashes from within
it when cut properly, and these red flashes make it look violet.
What a beautiful tiara that was!  It was not heavy even though  tiara
with that much tanzanite in it could have been heavy on earth.  But
this was heaven, and nothing was heavy.  I do not know what this crown
was for, but reading your list it could have been for perseverance, for
looking for the Lord, for witnessing, or for suffering....I don't think
it was for living a Holy Life, as that isn't me.  Anyway, I've always
loved Tanzanite since that vision.

Someone else today on Doves mentioned the term "Open Vision".  I don't
think this was an Open Vision, just something in my "mind's eye."

I don't know what an Open Vision is, but could it be when one is
standing in the world, in the daylight, with her/his feet on the
ground, and see something which is not ordinarily there, something
supernaturally changed, but in the daylight world, not a dream?  I had
a vision of Jesus like this seventeen years ago, seeing Him in the sky
sending rays of love my way, with seven stars behind him that shone
through the daylight and through the partial clouds.
He didn't have a message other than "Look into My eyes and feel My
love."

Is that an Open Vision?  I know some Open Visions must be about
unpleasant things coming, or referring more to the whole world than
just to one's self.
