"Second Passover in 2008"

Dear John and all doves,
First, I would like to thank our Steve Berryman. There is a smile on my face and a gleam in my eyes whenever you have a posting. Each and all, they have really blessed me and given me much to ponder.
I also think that Second Passover is an obscure yet important event. It does not seem to be a commanded additional Sabbath/Shabbat like the first and last days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread are in the commands in Leviticus. Do I believe that First Passover and day 1 of Unleavened Bread are two separate days? Yes. I also believe that Second Passover may be intended as a one day condensing of the previous 8 days of Passover/Unleavened Bread one month earlier.
The Second Passover was for those defiled and therefore disqualified from participation for the earlier Passover. Why is there a commanded second chance in Leviticus for Passover but not the additional Sabbaths/Shabbats of Pentecost, Trumpets, Yom Kippur, of Tabernacles? Part of the reason is that First Passover/Unleavened Bread starts the year cycle of additional Sabbaths/Shabbats. If someone gets off track with the first, then all the rest that follow would be affected. The fall cycle events are associated with the civil year and the completion of the annual cycle with the Feast of Tabernacles ending them in September or October.
Of all the feast days, additional commanded Sabbaths/Shabbats in the spring cycle, only Second Passover seems not to be associated with the Christ/Messiah at His First Advent. This day is so little noticed. I have not found it listed on any Jewish calendars. Most people would see no significance to this day at all. A great spiritual event on this evening would be very unexpected.
Symbolically, the evening of the Second Passover would be highlighted by the emblems of grape juice or wine and unleavened bread as part of the double or second opportunity to appreciate the special night of remembrance of vital spiritual events long ago. Is it wise for the Bride to want to be free of the leaven of sins at First and Second Passovers in 2008? These beautiful evenings are before us to appreciate because of Him.

With Love and Shalom,
Jean Stepnoski
