Dear Doves,
I am, too, much impressed with Steve's article posted on February 23, and encourage you all to read it. He combines many Biblical truths that I have come to understand as true over the past twelve years, and brings them to a head. (Although I have been walking with the Lord 31 years now and always studied the Bible a great deal, He began turning my church doctrine on its head in 1996, and before that, in a different way, in 1986. God's Word is manifold. We cannot begin to comprehend all of its intricacies and complexities.) In fact, many of the things that Steve mentions so matter-of-factly we were arguing over quite strenuously ten years ago on this site, the most important, perhaps, being that not all Christians will be included in the first resurrection.
One thing that occurs to me is that it seems possible that Passover this year should be on March 21 and that Second Passover would then occur, technically, on April 20 when the Jews celebrate their regular Passover. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable of the Jewish months could speak about this. There have been several articles posted about Second Passover over the past five years and you may want to search for them and read them. I think that Second Passover will be important for us, and perhaps this year. I have just printed off Steve's letter from April 29, 2004 regarding this. I will note that it was exactly ten years ago this coming Pentecost that I stayed up all night waiting for the Lord to come! I do not set dates, but I endeavor to keep my heart pure and ready at all times.
There have been so many would-be prophets and Bible teachers trying to predict the Lord's coming over these past ten years that I, personally, have grown weary of reading most of them. Steve's was an exception. I was drawn to read it and am glad I did. But I would like to give a gentle warning to those who are not so called to teach from God's holy Word. The warning is here: http://salemjustice.org/The%20Prophet.htm
Blessings to you,
Glenn Hall
