"Job's  Faith   Pt 6  :  A Happy Ending"

We have finally arrived at the end of the Job Desert Journey. I know some of you were wondering if i would ever get to this point of the Job story. After all, this series of articles has focused entirely on the faith and sufferings of Job. And the Cosmic Wager being battled out in the heavens between God and satan. Of course satan hoping that Job's faith would fail, and God knowing that it wouldn't. Can you just imagine all the angels in heaven cheering Job on in this heavenly contest. But yes, its now chapter 42, and finally we see a grand happy ending to Job's trial of his faith in the firey furnace of pain and suffering

For 37 chapters in the Book of Job we see satan pouring out his wrath of pain on Job, who through it all, holds onto his faith in God. Then just when you would think it is over for poor Job, he gets raked over the coals by God in chapters 38 thru 41. Here God answers Job's questions about his sufferings, but not in the way Job expected. God gives Job a tour of His divine creation-the universe, asking Job just who he thinks he is to question God about anything. And then, finally comes the happy ending. Because Job remained faithful through-out his ordeal, God restored to Job all he lost during his trial. And Job lived the rest of his life in peace, joy and happiness

So what exactually can we expect from God ? I think the best way to view the happy ending in Job is to see it not as a blueprint for what will happen to us in this life, but rather as a sign of what is to come. It stands as a sweet, satisfying symbol, a solution to one man's disappointment that offers us all a foretaste of the future. The good news at the end of Job, and the good news of Easter at the end of the Gospels are previews of the exciting good news described at the end of the Book of Revelation

The promise of Job 42 is that God will finally right the wrongs that mark our days. The Bible stakes God's reputation on his ability to conquer evil and restore heaven and earth to their original perfection. At the moment, evil appears to be winning, but God calls us to see beyond the grim reality of human history to the view of all eternity. When God's reign will fill the earth with heavenly light and truth. In the end, heaven wins. Eternal Judgement will be handed out to all of humanity. The Judgement Seat of Christ with eternal rewards to Christian believers in Jesus Christ. And the Great White Throne Judgement and the Lake of Fire to all non-believers

Yes there is a happy ending in Job's story. His faithful suffering had much eternal value. And there can be a happy ending in your life story also. Are you a faithful servant of Jesus Christ ? Are you fulfilling whatever divine Calling He has placed into your life ? Have you accepted the free gift of salvation thru Jesus Christ ? You see, the choice of the ending to your life story is in your hands. You can have a happy ending, if you so choose. Know and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. And then live the rest of your life for Him. And one day you will hear Him say to you : " Well done thy good and faithful servant, welcome into the Joy of thy Lord "

This happy ending wouldn't be complete without a view into the future thru Chapter 21 of the Book of Revelation. So sit back and enjoy the view of our eternal home in heaven :

" Then i saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem  coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, " Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them forever. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning, or crying, or pain. For the former things have passed away "
