Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ made a promise to us Christian believers. That He would one day return for us. And that day is coming soon. In fact, this year 2008 could very well be the year when Jesus does finally return and take all saved Christians with Him up into Heaven. Right after this exciting event Christians call the " rapture ", all believers will appear before Jesus at His Judgement Seat. Not to determine salvation but to examine each believers life , and to give out Eternal Rewards

You see, how you invest your earthly life in God's Kingdom will determine what Eternal Treasurers are waiting for you in Heaven. What are you doing today for God ? How are you serving Him in this life ? He has given you Time, Talents and Resources for you in your earthly life to use for His Kingdom purposes. And at the Judgement Seat of Christ you will be giving an accounting of how you used your life for eternal purposes. There are five main Crown Rewards that Jesus will be handing out. I have listed them here :

1. The Soul-Winners Crown : to Christians who save lost souls from the fires of hell. Are you out there fulfilling the Great Commission that Jesus left us with ? Jesus said their would be many in the harvest field of lost souls, but only a few workers who would go into the field and share the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Are you one of those faithful servants of our Savior Jesus Christ ? Are you sharing the salvation message and winning lost souls into the Kingdom of God ? If so, you will be Rewarded with the Soul-Winners Crown.     1Thess 2:19 says - " you are our hope, our joy, and the crown we will take pride in when our Lord Jesus returns "

2. The Crown of Righteousness : this Reward is for those Christians who are looking for and excited about the return of our Savior Jesus Christ.   2 Timothy 4:8 - " finally there is laid up for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, to all who love His appearing ". Are you really longing for Jesus to return, do you look forward to living in your heavenly home in the New Jerusalem, or do you love you earthly life more ? Jesus knows what is in your heart. If you truly are looking for and wanting Jesus to return, you will be given this Eternal Reward when He returns at the rapture of all saved Christian believers

3. The Crown of Glory : this Reward is for those Christians who faithfully teach and preach God's Word. Are you a church Pastor, or involved in Christian ministry work ? This crown belongs to you.   1 Peter 5:4 - " when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of Glory that does not fade away "

4. The Crown of Life : this crown is for believers who faithfully endure suffering, knowing that there is a better life waiting for them in God's Kingdom.   James 1:12 - " happy is the man that keeps on enduring trials, because on becoming approved, he will receive the Crown of Life "

5. The Incorruptible Crown : this is for those who run a good race in the Christian life.   1 Corinthians 9:25 says - " everyone who competes for the prize is temperate on all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we do it for an Imperishable Crown "



so my friends in Christ, do you see yourself qualifying for any of these special Eternal Rewards at the Lord's Judgement Seat ?  Look over your earthly life, what have you been doing for your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ?  At the Judgement Seat, do you really want to be standing there in front of Jesus empty-handed, with nothing of eternal value to show for your life ? Or have you been living your life for God's Kingdom, for which you will hear Jesus say : " well done thy good and faithful servant " .  Consider today what you can do that will have eternal value in God's Kingdom, and then go out there and do it. You will put a big smile on the face of your Savior Jesus Christ. And many Eternal Rewards will be waiting for you at the Lord's Judgement Seat of Christ !!!
