Think of our present life on earth as the dot. It begins. It ends. It's brief. But from that dot extends a line that goes on forever. That line is eternity, which Christians will spend in heaven. Right now we are living in the dot. But what are we living for ? The shortsighted person lives for the dot. The person with an eternal perspective lives for the line. Which one are you spending your life living for ?

This earth and your brief time here is the dot. Our Eternal home in the New Heaven and New Earth with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the line. The Christian who lives for the dot lives for earthly treasures that will end up in the junkyard. The Christian who lives for the line lives for treasures in heaven that will never end. Your earthly wealth will one day end, your heavenly wealth will last for all of eternity
which one of these life goals are you living for - the dot or the line. God is keeping an open account for you in heaven and every good work for His glory is a deposit into your heavenly bank account. Have you been making regular deposits into eternity ? God wants your heart. He is looking for followers who will immerse themselves in Kingdom causes. God is looking for followers who are so filled with a vision for eternity that they wouldn't dream of not investing their time, talents and resources where they will matter most
Phil 3:20 and Hebrews 11:16 says our citizenship is in heaven. Are you sending ahead your investments into your heavenly account, or are you only investing in your earthly accounts ? Are you living for the dot or the line ?
One day very soon, you will stand before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords- Jesus Christ. Where you will have to give an accounting of your life and how you invested it. Invest your life today in eternal matters. They are the only ones that will last for all of eternity !!!
