"Job's Faith   Pt 3  : God doesn't  Explain his Suffering"

One important fact becomes quite obvious as you read through the Book of Job. Suffering Job keeps asking God why he is going through so much pain and hardship, even though he is a faithful servant. And all thoughout the story Job never gets any explaination from God at all. What Job finally gets is not what he had expected

God never does explain to Job the why of his sufferings. Instead, he explodes on poor Job. God ask Job just who does he think he is anyway. He says that to try to explain the kinds of things Job is asking for would be impossible for Job to understand. God doesn't reveal His grand design. He reveals Himself

God's answer finally comes down to this : " untill you know a little more about running the physical universe, Job, don't tell me how to run the moral universe ". Job complains - " why are you treating me so unfairly God ?  Put yourself in my place for once "

NO !!!!!!   God thunders in reply. " You put yourself in my place. Untill you can offer lessons on how to make the sun come up each day, or where to scatter lightning bolts, or how to design a planet, don't judge how I run the world. Just shut up and listen "

The impact of God's speech on Job is almost as amazing as the speech itself. Although God never answers question one about Job's sufferings, the blast from the storm flattens Job. He repents and every trace of disappointment with God is swept away

So we are still left with the big questions. Why is life so unfair ? When does God cause suffering and when merely permits it ? Why does God sometimes seem silent and sometimes close and intimate ? I think we are left with only one possible answer from the Almighty. From God's point of view - why bother to explain. We couldn't possibly understand anyway

It all comes down to us trusting Him. God knows what is best for us in our human lives. Our job is to simply put our full faith and trust in God, knowing that He has a bright future planned for us. Its just that before we can reach the  glorious Mountain-top, we first have to plow through the suffering Valley. Keep smiling and keep trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ !!!
