"Dalai Lama’s 5 day conference for public schools"

The Dalai Lama’s 5 day conference is a MUCH bigger event that I ever realized.  I feel it is important to spread the word among intercessors.

The conference, April 11-15 is held in a number of places, but the biggest event is at Quest field, where a minimum of 40,000 will gather. The next largest event is for school children at Key Arena, April 14. They will be bused to 4 corners of the Seattle Civic Center, and will march in a petal formation ( a very Buddhist things to do). Over 16,000 children will attend, many from foreign countries, but many from our area. This will be broadcast into our public schools.  Also this conference will be listened to by 47 nations.( the seeds of compassion website mentions only 24, but it is quickly expanding in numbers.)  It is a global event, not just state wide as I originally thought.

It is advertised as “Seeds of Compassion”.  You can go to www.seedsofcompassion.net  Once in the site, you can spend time looking into it.  It is generally about compassion, kindness etc, and good things. However, the Dalai Lama is the hero to be studied.

Be sure to click on WHO WE ARE, then click on; ORGANIZING COMMITTEE. You will find who is behind this… our governor, school superintendents, etc.

The Seeds of Compassion will be taught in our schools. You can find the curriculums by clicking at the top: WHY IT MATTERS, then click CIRRICULUM on the right, to see what is being taught.  In all the age curriculums you will find the Dalai Lama is the Hero to be most studied. In the k-2 section, ½ way down you will find a section called: Who Are Heroes.  The Dalai Lama is the hero.  In grades 3-5, both ¼ way and ½ way down again he is the hero of compassion. In grades 6-8 you will find the same thing ½ way down.  In grade 9-12 it begins with “Who is the Dalai Lama and how is he qualified to talk about compassion.”
