Actualy a little controversy is good, makes one do research. Now the person you quoted re Dr Eby that God was at his wits end was an exageration not on Eby's part but of the person who quoted Dr Eby.
 
Here is a scripture that the disciples received from Christ and did.
 
Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
 
Now if the disciples were commanded to do this then this too is a commandment for us today. Unless you are of the house of dispensationalism who believe these things were only for Christ's time.
 
One of the most powerful testemonies that I have heard of is that of a Buddhist monk who died, went to hell and saw Buddha. He came to life after 3 days and has converted thousands of buddhist monks in Bhurma. The Buddhist governemnt arrests anyone who has his testemony on a tape and this man has been jailed many times because he refuses to stop giving his testemony.
