"Dr Eby"
Rene, Dr Eby died Dec 26, 2002. As he very specifically
said Jesus told him he would be alive when He returned I would not place
any significance in anything he said. He said that he would be ALIVE when
the rapture happened and this clearly has NOT happened. He would be considered
a false prophet and would have been stoned according to the law of God.
Of course, one can always spiritualize what he said and claim that Jesus
returned spiritually or that perhaps Dr Eby was a bit confused, but he
was not a senile old man when he had his "trips to heaven and hell".
One can make excuses for any false prophets, but God's
true prophets are never confused and a sovereign God will not deliver a
garbled message to His true prophet. He will, however, allow a lying spirit
to speak through people based on the idols of their hearts. See Ezekiel
14.
I am not trying to throw cold water on anyone's cherished
beliefs. I am trying to speak the truth so that people will see that NOT
ALL prophecies are true, no matter how godly the person and how convinced
they are. Please do not think I am trying to be unkind and speak ill of
the dead as that is NOT my intent. There are far too many false prophecies
presented as truth, and far too many undiscerning Christians willing to
believe them. If something does not line up with the Word of God, then
throw it out. I see nothing in my Bible that speaks of anyone ever having
visited heaven or hell, other than the apostle Paul, who was caught up
to the third heaven, yet even he did not know the time of Jesus's return.
I hardly think Dr. Eby was on the same level as the apostle Paul, who spent
several years in Arabia being personally taught by the Lord Jesus Christ.
