Praise the Lord that our house did not catch on fire when our next door neighbor's house caught on fire on the morning of 2/06 and burned down.  Praise the Lord that it had rained and the leaves and trees between our two houses were wet and that the wind did not blow in our direction. We didn't even have to breathe in smoky air.  Thank God for the man who was walking his dog and reported the fire because we did not look outside the window and see the fire until around 9 a.m.  At that time the neighbor's house was engulfed in flames from the farthest end of his house away from us to the middle of his house.  Then shortly thereafter the end of his house closest to our house was engulfed in flames.  Praise the Lord for the firemen who put out the fire and stayed there until 3 p.m. in the afternoon, and who returned Thurs. morning for another hour putting out the fire again that had rekindled itself next door.  Praise the Lord for his mercy to us because we have no fire insurance on our house.
