"To Ted Porter regarding John the Baptist"

Dear Ted,

I had to read and reread your post regarding John the Baptist.  With all due respect, I think you were treading some shaky ground with your assertions which could cause someone, most likely a new believer in Jesus, to stumble.  Jesus was telling us that even the least in the kingdom of God was greater than John the Baptist because "blessed are those who believe yet have not seen".  We live by faith and not by sight, whereas John the Baptists saw for himself the Messiah.  Jesus was the only human being born of a virgin, He was the only man who was fully human and fully God.  I do not mean to prolong the discussion, just wanted to clarify in the event a new beleiver or impressionable Christian would be confused by your post.

May God Bless you.
