"Re: persistant prayer"

This is why it is so important to read from the Authorized King James Version:

The first verse of Luke Chapter 18 sums up what he is about to expound on. And the Word says - Luke 18:1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end (this - What end, what point), that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.
This stresses the importance of returning to God consistently with all manner of prayers and to be diligent to wait for the manifestation.
It does not state anything about asking again and again for the (exact same thing), there can be variations that you ask in the future or adjustments after receiving revelation or for a similar situation) this is understood. Again, understand that returning to God and thanking him and reminding him of your petitions is also persistent prayer, as I stated before.
This is why all these translations allow people to err in the understanding of God's scripture.
I sum up again Mark 11:23,24 .(paraphrased) tells us that we have what we say, if said in faith, God heard you the first time, after that, simply rejoice, give thanks and remind the Lord of the scriptures pertaining to your request and you will have it (in time, wait patiently) all this is prayer.

Yes, we are asked to persist in prayer, it should be our life-style. Just make sure you do it according to the word ( 1 John 5:14,15) or it won't do anything. Sometimes we pray outside of the word of God (Have scriptures for what you want from God) and negate our prayers by our own words of unbelief and doubt (James 1:6-8) , this is why many don't receive what they have asked for or it is delayed, it's not God, it's us.
Please accept this with understanding.God bless you all, David
