Paul, I need to speak with you about this post. (Spiritual pride)I understand your position and that your trying to remind persons to persist in prayer which the Scripture you quoted is applicable in such a way. It is not however specifying to ask again for the same thing. It means simply to pray continually as a life-style with thanksgiving. The Word is very clear in how we should pray if we want results, Mark 11:23-24 reminds us about how to pray in faith."Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them (present tense, now, not going to have), and ye shall have them. (guaranteed, its done). When we pray for something, according to the Word, we have received it, so there is no need to ask for the exact same thing again. After that, while praying, it is good to simply remind God of his Word pertaining to your request and thank him for it and speak that you have received it before you get it. All of these is praying. It is not spiritual pride to believe the first time you pray, it's called faith, unwavering faith and it can be dangerous to instruct people to ask for the same thing over & over, it will not move God and it underminds their faith in receiving, faith moves God.Heb. Chapter 11 (All Christians should meditate on this chapter, alot)Brother Paul, you share many good things with the others, I read your posts. Please remain of understanding as I share this truth with you. Our Lord has been dealing with me in my praying. I am simply sharing what he shared with me and it makes my prayers alot more effective. Please do this, it works. (no time limits with God, simply believe)People are going to need to have great faith in the times that are coming upon us. Glory to God, your brother David
