"Decision Day"

“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”- 1 John 3:18

I really believe with all my heart that February 22nd was a decision day, leading into a final decision regarding your position with God.

I know you know this, but there is only two sides.  It truly is “get off the fence time.”

Are you facing some personal decisions right now?  I know I am.  You can read at fivedoves or my website for some background regarding the number 22 and its significance and also the scriptures on being a “bondservant” for God.

I relate being a bondservant to God like a wife to a husband (like the Church to Christ).  Are you willing to risk “all” for God, for better or worse, for richer or poorer?  To forsake all others and only take him?

The whole Bible has this theme through it, but I love going though Hebrews 11.  There is no Patriarch, Prophet or Apostle who did not have to risk all for God.  “Without faith it is impossible to please God.”  This means you will take a risk.

It seems in my own personal life God is bringing me “face to face” with things that have been strongholds in my past.  It seems like a final decision.  There are many things recently he is asking me to “step out of the boat” and risk “all” for him.

In the sports world, March is called “March Madness”.  There is also a saying in like a Lamb out like a Lion, or vice versa – either way both representative of Jesus.

Remember it was Jesus who said “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs are the Kingdom of Heaven.”  Have you ever wanted to strive to be a part of a great organization?  If so, you would find out their values, requirements, etc.  Really set your mind, spirit and body to conform.  In God’s word there is a principal set up by God through Moses where a slave would be set free after 7 years.  This person became a slave because of something he did wrong, or a debt too great for him to pay.  If the slave loved his master, he could choose to stay with him.  If so, he could also choose to have his household stay there as well.  (do a bible search & study on “Kingdom of Heaven, Kingdom of God – what did you find???)

This is your choice now, not lip service, but a true commitment of heart, mind and body.  Don’t be surprised if the Holy Spirit prompts you to take some difficult action.  Facing something, rejecting something, forgiveness – somehow signing the dotted line with your heart.  It may be more than one thing – only you and God can know about you.

3 years ago the Passion of Christ came out, now we have this Titanic man’s fraud about Jesus’ tomb.  Like the Titanic it will sink.  The Ark is the right ship, not the Titanic.  Though the Titanic be made of steel forsake it for the wood & the pitch (Jesus’ blood).  Noah had to forsake all, Abraham, Moses, etc.  This will not be the safe route.

I’m not sure about the exact timing, but the Holy Spirit should be testifying to you that we are so very, very near.  Pray for what God has for you to do now.  It’s time to take care of “Unfinished Business” of the Holy Spirit’s leading (what’s in your heart, what keeps coming to mind?)

Remember that there will be a “weeping & gnashing of the teeth”.  What does this mean beside “bad”?  Weeping are those who knew and did not, but at a time passed wished they had.  Gnashing are those who did not, but still are hard of heart and completely reject God’s plan of Salvation.

God be with you.

Blessings,

Tony
