"To KAY re: Infinity Bible Code"

Kay, I was finally able to access the links you gave on January 8 for the teachings of Al Neal.   Some of his teachings may be very good and true.

However, the video about finding words in chapters of the Bible based on Hebrew gematria is really off.

He takes the Hebrew word and according to the value of the Hebrew letters he looks up that chapter in the Bible and then looks for the English word that corresponds to it.  This method will definitely lead you astray.  You would have to look for the Hebrew word in the chapter, not the English word.

Example #1.  He uses the Hebrew word "el" meaning God (a value of 31) and then finds the 31st chapter (Genesis 31) and looks for the word "God".    However the word for God here is "Elohim" which has a different number value.

Example#2   He takes the Hebrew word "adonai"   Lord and looks in Exodus 15:1-3 and finds the word LORD in English.   However the Hebrew word here is "YHVH" not "adonai".

Example #3  He takes the Hebrew word "edah" (value of 79) meaning "congregation" and looks in the 79th chapter of the Bible (Exodus 29) and finds the English word congregation.   However the Hebrew word here is "mo'ed" not "edah".

Also in the introduction in the video he points out that the Hebrew words from the name of the Israeli airline "El Al"  mean God.  However these words have a different meaning, not God.

Another thing that could cause a problem is that the English Bible as we have it today have the books in a different order than they were originally.   In the Hebrew Tenakh the books are listed according to the three groups of Torah, Prophets and Writings.  After the book of Judges there is a different order in the Tenakh from the order in the English Bible.  (From what I have read, I think that Jerome changed the order from what it was originally).

So while we may appreciate some of his teachings, I think we can discard this whole idea of finding these words in the corresponding Bible chapters.

Shalom,
