At those times, God always seems to make me dig deeper into this subject.  At times, I am led to various articles on all kinds of subjects.  At other times, something comes to me for further reading and insight.
And with Yahoo and Google searches so easy.......I can dig into just about any subject.
 
 
In the past couple of weeks, I have started reading some books on The 6 Day War;  and on Islam 'The Truth About Mohammad."
 
I enjoyed the sermon from David today from Doves........  Excellent on the "Final Warinng is in Pictures."  A sermon from Times Square Church from this past Sunday....WOW...that was timely and fast!
 
I also loved the Doves write up by Arlene on Feb 26. Oh could it be THIS year........? One of the best papers I've read in a year.   She makes a wonderful case for the Rapture around Passover!!
 
And I came across this article by Ray Stedman with a search about the "inter-testamentary period".

The reason for my readings and searches now are two-fold.
First, there is MUCH I do NOT know about Islam, and thought I should know more.  And, if the 40 years from the 6 Day War are truly imnportant, maybe I should know more about WHY that war WAS so important.  And, I have often wondered about those 400 years in between the the old and new Testaments.....how "ready" were the people of Israel to see their Messiah come.
 
This article by Ray Stedman really set the stage........and hammers home the point very well, that Jesus came RIGHT ON TIME!!!   (smile)  Certainly, Daniel knew, and had predicted that date to the very day when Jesus entered Jerusalem....and the unblemished Lamb of God, to take away the sins of the world.....what a GREAT and perfect story!
 
An aside:  in the last movie about Superman.  Early on, Lois Lane says to Superman:  The world doesn't want a Messiah.
 
I heard that and went....whew............ wow....
 
Later in the movie Superman responds to that with:  Lois...I've heard the people...and they DO want a Messiah.
 
Out of the mouths of Hollywood writers......
 
Second, I have become "numb" in the busines world.....it all seems so trite.....and I'm having a hard time keeping my head in the "things of this world."  Being in the real estate business (lending) hasn't helped me stay focused, as the US real estate industry is still reeling after the market top 2 years ago.  I, along with many friends (non-Christian AND Christian) are all struggling....UGH!
 
 
 
How near is the Rapture???    Closer by the day......(smile)   2007 ???  at Passover????   I certainly hope so.
 
I tell my closest friends......."I know WHERE I GET TO GO.....(at the Rapture or at death)  AND.....I KNOW WHY I GET TO GO THERE (becuase Jesus Christ died in MY place for MY sins....) ........so Lord........let's 'cut to the chase....' "      In the big picture of eternity, (I'm 52 year old) what is the next 13 years of my career time.....or the next 25 years of my life??   Just a blink in time..........
 
My favorite song over the last 3 years is:   Chris Rice's:  "Smile".   The words are, in part....I just want to be with You...I just want this waiting to be over....WOW!
