KANNAPOLIS -- So far there are no new reports of any disturbances at
Kannapolis-area churches. Police say a total of 11 churches reported
disruptions at last Sunday's services. In each case, up to three individuals spoke phrases in Hebrew and
English and then left. Each church described the individuals as
non-Caucasian and said they seemed to be there to deliver some type of
message but were acting strangely and made no sense. Some pastors understood the men but still do not know why they were
there."He came up to me and asked me if I was a preacher and I said, 'Yes,
I am,' and he just started speaking in Hebrew, just saying some Hebrew
words to me and just telling me, 'God of love, God of comfort, God of
peace,' and I just shook my head and said the same back to him and
said, 'Yeah, you're right,'" said pastor David Luokowicz.Police say the individuals did not commit any crimes but because
several congregations were concerned, they are investigating. If you have any information about the cases, call Kannapolis police
at (704) 920-4000.
