It's amazing that in your post  http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/feb2007/dianas28.htm  you mentioned hearing a sound "..like a very long shofar blast."

I hear the sound on Peggy's web site.

Several weeks ago, as I was falling asleep, I too heard this sound. It lasted for about a second. The strange thing was: I live in a rural area. At night, it's so quite you could hear a pin drop. At first, I was startled. My next thought was "this is coming from inside my head". Then, I recognized the sound as that of the shofar. I too wondered if "this is it" and questioned if I'm really ready.

Finally, my last thought before falling asleep was: was that you, Lord?  - or is something wrong with my ears?

You confirmed that my ears are just fine!
I wonder if any other doves had a similar experience.
