"More Dividing The Land - Two State Solution"

Hi John & Doves

I have been discussing with Deborah and Jan about the dividing the land – why for stance it is such a big issue today and wasn’t when 2/3 of the Holy Land (British Protectorate of Palestine) was given to the Arabs to create the country of Jordan.  80% of the population of Jordan are Palestinians.  To me, that was very, very wrong.  Jordan sits on a large part of what was ancient Israel.

In my personal opinion, the two state solution should be:  Jordan on the east bank of the Jordan River as it is Palestinian land, though the Jordanians keep very quiet about that especially as most people, commentators, politicians, Palestinian supporters are very ignorant of the history of the area;  and the West Bank of the Jordan should all be Israel.  My opinion.

I notice that the Palestinians didn’t complain about being occupied when the West Bank was part of Jordan and Gaza was part of Egypt.  Most Palestinian supporters in their historical ignorance think that the Israelis “occupied” a functioning Palestinian state in Gaza and the West Bank, they don’t even know that there was no country called Palestine from 1949 to 1967.  Of course, the Palestinian leaders aren’t going to tell the ignorant ones that either.
